I've had this motherboard for 3 days now and I've just noticed that my chipset is running at roughly 50C give or take 3C.

In the software that DFI provided; it's showing that this is way hot; the fan is running at 7000RPM and I'm wondering if there's something wrong here or not. Does anyone else have this issue? Is it normal?

50C seems about normal to me. I havent checked what my board is running at, but as long as you arent getting lockups I wouldn't worry too much about it. I will check my temp again and see what its at.

The problem I have is with the SATA connecters coming off the SB450. I am using a first gen barracuda V drive. Everytime I connect to those controllers, the harddrive performance is INCREDIBLY slow. If I hook up to the sil3114, its quite speedy. Any one else notice this issue?
