DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D: Which memory slots go together

Can I also ask you a stupid memory question? I have two 512 modules and know that they have to be in the proper slots to work together. I was thinking that they go into slot 1 & 3 (both yellow) or 2 & 4 (both orange). But the manual seems to indicate that 1 & 2 (one yellow and one orange) are channel "A" and 3 & 4 (one yellow and one orange) are channel "B". So where does my memory go?

2 and 4 are the recommended ones. Those are the orange slots.
