too tall with the fan.

i have the earlier version of the, the ccb 1c or whatever it is but i haven't installed it. but its a perfect match.

the one i linked fits but one guy said he needed to file one of the tabs a bit so it didn't contact a trace or something.

i may get that one because of the sweet led 😛 but since moving my 7800gtx down to pci-e #2 my temps have returned to normal.

It's not just a matter of heat...that thing is SO whiny!! I got a Vantec NB fan similar to the one posted. Mine doesn't have an LED though, but I don't have a windowed case, so no need.

oh man, when they are at full throttle, they are ridiculously loud. thankfully though, after using the as5 on mine i can run mine at 2-3000 rpm. good airflow is probably more important than the fans rpm. some just position a 80 or 90mm fan to blow over the area.

Hey,
R u sure it fits the board. If it does I wonder it would fit the nforce 3 boards?

Thanks.

i'd double check on dfi.street. i know the first model, the ca-c1c fits because i have one i compared with the stock cooler. i heard the ca-c4c the newer model with the LED needs a dremel trim to fit.

but that again is for the nf4 so you're better off checking there.

i wish that guy would market that thing. theres so many people who would eat that up.

last sales estimate i saw for dfi was 20,000 nf4 boards a month shipped. not to mention some of the other nf4 boards like msi and asus could use it.

sorry to hear that. it can't be dremeled down or anything?

i'm getting the zalman lpassive linked and the vantec iceberg and seee which is best. for the nf4s i have.

i've got 2 sli-dr, one of which i had to move the 7800 down in because it raised my chipset ~10c and i got an ultra-d.
