DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D Motherboard

Because DFI came up with a hack that would allow a SLI-like configuration, giving about 90% of the performance of a "real" SLI setup. Major kudos to the DFI engineers who came up with this...but it looks like nVidia is squashing the whole idea and will put out future driver releases to specifically disallow this. Sooo, the moral of this one is if you are going to buy this board to run in a SLI-like config, then you must hang back with older drivers, and buy the board right now before DFI revs it under nVidia pressure. Otherwise, the second PCI-E x16 slot will be useless.
 
Sorry..didn't see your edit the first time around. Well, that is a good question. Hmm, well, I guess DFI had better rev the board again and yank off the other slot and replace it with a another PCI-E or PCI slot or something---if nVidia does get their way (which they always do).
 
If you get an early revision of the NF4, then you can just pencil in that bridge to make it full SLI. If not, you may have to rely on clever people for some hacked drivers.
