The starting position:
Sweet working rig with the grafic card runing in the 1st 16x PCI-E slot on my DFI Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D.
The problem:
I installed additionally a chipset-watercooling block which blocks the 1st 16x PCI-E slot. So I put the GFX-Card into the 2nd 16x PCI-E slot.
With this configuration, the boot process stops at 'VGA detected' (one diagnostic led burning).
I'm aware that the 2nd slot, in standard config, only is 2x PCI-E. I tried with the SLI jumpers on SLI, which should give the 2nd slot 8x PCI-E. Same result: stops at 'VGA detected'.
In both cases, I don't even get to the BIOS menu...
Is there any possibility to run the GFX-card in the 2nd "16x" PCI-E slot?
