DFI LanParty Ultra-D got friend...need new stable MB

Hey guys, my 3 months new Lanparty Ultra-D just got friend and I'm about to RMA it back to monarch from whence it came. I'm gonna buy a new MB in the meantime and then sell the new one when they return it. The fact that it broke so readily makes me a little nervous to put the same board in my machine. Anyone know of a comparable (price and performance wise), MB that I could purchase instead? Is the DFI that far ahead of the pack? My main concern is now stablility...a little OC room would be nice, but mostly I just don't wanna risk another breakdown. Thanks! 🙂

what kind of friend did it get? a dual core perhaps? j/k 😉

MSI and ASUS come highly recommended for the stability factor and a hint of OC room.

Every company will produce a product that fails. It just happens. The DFI is a great board, I have the same one and it is going strong. You just got unlucky on that, but once you get an RMA you will be all set and running.

The new revision of the ultra-d (REV AD0) may even be better than the expert. Post after post of amazing results can be found on xtremesystems. I'm playing with mine now. 🙂
