DFI Lanparty Problems

I've been using a Lanparty Ultra (not rev B) for the last few months and have had nothing but problems. The first time I oc'd the board, it was a 2400+ mobile (35 watt) to 2.2 ghz, nothing execessive, nothing way over-volted or anything and my hard drive dissappeared.

Ever since, I've had ide issues, hard drives dissappearing (they work fine on other boards), hard drives making wierd noises (they sound fine in other systems) and the LAN and usb keyboard/mouse occaisionally just cut out for no apparant reason.

Now I'm trying to flash the bios on this thing but the floppy won't work... (I tried a boot cd but it didn't work).

I'm really close to giving in and grabbing a cheap epox or shuttle nf2 board, but sort of hoping there's something I missed in the bios that is messing everything up...

Hi ,

I had that same board and i had similar issues with it .

My onboard LAN failed everytime it would just freeze the PC when i put it on even from booting up it would freeze the Win XP boot process half way through but when i turn it off in the BIOS everything works fine .

It was working great for about 4 months then for no reason it just went .

I tried setting BIOS and CPU to default in case it was the overclock but nuthing seemed to get it working again .

Also the drivers that came with the board caused problems with my GFX card , i downloaded the latest drivers from nVidia and it fixed it .

By the way , didnt you get the Live update for BIOS with your board ?
I used to update the BIOS EXTREMELY easy from windows with that little app .

i downloaded winflash from ecs's stie (first on google's list) and it works great. you dont have to install it or anything, just run it and tell it where the file is. i have a bios that works very well for my board, but idk if it will work for yours. pm me if yo uwant at, but beware taht dfi checks bios first when you return it, so if its not a dfi bios, you will not have your board fixed. there also seem to be many accounts of bad flashes with my bioes, but i've personally flashed it 4 times (and its variations about 15 total), so it works great for me. i can email you the file or you can get the 6/19 bios modded by hellfire
