DFI lanparty not detecting Ultra ATA HD

I am trying to install linspire ((OS)) on to my new DFI sytem but the problem is that when i go into the bois to check out the HD it says that there isnt one, well i dont know what to do because even if i try to install linspire in this condition ((when it sint detecting the HD)) it says "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"

i dont have any idea what to do PLEASE HELP ME!!

Make sure the jumper on your drive is set correctly. If you are using only the one drive, set it for Cable Select, and make sure it is on the far end of the IDE cable.

Cable Select doesn't always work on some motherboards and some drives. If that happens, set the jumper for Master, and the system should recognize it regardless of which connector you use on the IDE cable.

Another conflict can arise if you have your CD-ROM on the same IDE channel. It is better to have it on the other IDE channel, but if they have to share the same channel, make sure the jumper on the CD-ROM is also set to Cable Select, if that is what you did with the HD, or set it as Slave if you set the HD as Master.

WD hdd need to have the jumper removed for master operation. You did not say what brand you have, so we all have to guess something instead of giving you useful info...
