I'm just grabbed the P35 and i'm not overly impressed, I'd go for the X38 because I wish I would have gotten it myself.

Could you perhaps be a little more specific?:D

Actually right under the specs the x38 says core 2 extreme.

And they aren't sli slots; they are pci-e x16 2.0. the x38 supports crossfire not sli.
So if you want to use multiple nvidia cards buy a skulltraill or an nvidia chipset board.

It's a good thing you mentioned that. I've been using Nvidia for so long I'd completely forgotten that crossfire was another story. Thanks.

Looks like I may end up dumping SLI as I can't seem to find a motherboard with consistently high user reviews.

I moved up from my Neo2-FR to the DFI P35 LT and while it's a NICE mobo, none of the features were heads above my MSI mobo which was 1/2 the price. From what i've read, the X38 has a better feature set but since I don't own one, I can't expand more.

I have the X48, which is almost the exact same as the X38. If you don't need the 2nd x16 pci-e, then go with a P35 board IMHO. I had a P35 DFI before this board and it clocked the same. I got this board so I could run my SCSI Raid card in the extra x16 slot.
