DFI LanParty DR Power issues

I just finished the most irritating build of my life. This thing took 3 days to get up and running. (I work, so it wasn't a full 3 days )

Anyhow, I hope no one else has had the same trouble I had with the DFI board and power issues. If so I found a very useful post on another board that I thought might come in handy for someone building a box based on this board.

Turns out this was exactly what was happening to my system, although with a different PSU.

Anyhow if you are setting up your box and are having issues with this board and the power supply shutting off I hope this helps. (I kept thinking that the board was shorting out).

have a look at both of those concerning power supplies and the dfi boards

also, make sure you have all of these power plugs connected

PHewwww. I had no issue with my DFI board and my Seasonic S-12 600. Thank goodness.

tw33ter thanks for those links, but that was not the issue. The issue came about anytime I connected more than 1 molex connector other than the connectors that went to the motherboard. The thing to take from my link is the jumper settings for J17. I never would have figured that out on my own, especially since out of the box the system would post (I obviosly did not have hard drives, dvd drive or live drive connected at that time, so the system appeared to be fine except when in the case).
