DFI LanParty DK x48 and 9800 GX2

This is my post on the DFI forums. I thought I would put this out there if anybody is thinking about getting this board. Has anybody heard about another brand of the x48 having issues with either the 3870 X2 or the 9800 GX2?

"Hi everybody,

First DFI board, first post. I've heard great things about DFI's boards/bios/overclocking/stability and I gave my dad my old board and updated to the DK X-48. I heard on other forums that the 3870 X2 was having issues when used in conjunction with this board but that since my card is nvidia that as far as they knew I should be fine.

Well, I got the board yesterday and I was having a great time setting everything up getting my drivers in order and about to do stability tests on stock settings to see how my board was doing. I run fine in prime 95 and memtest but when I run 3dmark06 the system restarts. Sometimes immediately as the first test begins and twice I've had it run through the two cpu tests but invariably the system shuts itself down.

You can check my system in my signature. The only thing I have changed in my setup is my board. Everything else ran fine overclocked on my old
MSI- P6N SLI. I'm very disappointed in this situation and am wondering if anybody else has heard of the nvidia cards having issues with the board.

On the plus side for the 3870 X2 owners, it looks like it may not be an ATI problem. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

I have that board in my 2nd rig and I've had no issues (8800gtx/e8400 though).

The following suggestions may be completely off, so I'm warning you now =P

I believe the dark board has a 4 phase cpu vpm (instead of 8 like the lt/ut version). Have you tried upping the vcore on your cpu and checking all of your other voltages? Is your quad overclocked? Maybe the power draw is causing the board to be unstable with your current settings?
