DFI LanParty + Corsair Value Select

Hey,

I read earlier about the DFI LanParty and Corsair ValueSelect not working properly. I'm wondering if they've fixed this issue now. Or do you have to bump the volts to like 3.3 (which I heard some people did to get their system to work - this voided their warantee)

I've built 2 systems with the DFI and Corsair VS. Both back in February.

My dad had issues installing XP on his DFI Ultra-D with the Corsair. He had to use only 1 stick. He then flashed to a beta BIOS and installed the other stick. No issues after that.

At the same time, I built mine with the SLI-D and Corsair. I had no issues with the DFI and the Corsair... except that my VS ram gave tons of errors in Memtest right off the bat, so I RMA'd to the RamGuy and all has been perfect since.

I'm running 313 * 8x with a /133 divider. 2500mhz with ram slightly overclocked to like 208mhz. My dad's is like 250 * 9x or something with a divider. Don't remember exactly. But we both have ram voltage at 2.8v, so nothing extreme.

My build was a pain in the ass. I had to switch to GEIL ram, no problems at all since. Go with something on the approved list.

That's what I'm using, runs like a champ. Timings are a TAD loose, but I can get over that.

I built an nF4 Ultra-D with Corsair VS. No hiccups whatsoever with the shipping bios, 1/25 or with 3/10. I installed the memory in slots 2+4 (orange) raised the Vdimm to 2.70 immediately and went on to a perfect install. Prime95 and memtested with zero errors at 200fsb. It was a client build who wanted stability, so no OC was tested. I currently run Patriot 3200LLK ($140) on my Ultra-D at DDR444 @ 2.5-3-2-5-1T @ 2.7v with zero errors.
