I got a DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra B and 512mbs of Buffallo Tech PC3700 (DDR 466) Ram
The default timings/Voltages for the RAM are 8-4-4-3 and 2.6v Repsectivley.

Here's the weird part

The RAM will run MEMtest86 at

11-2-2-2.5x233mhz @3.0v, but not 11-4-4-3x240 @3.0v.

Is this normal?

I have CPC/SuperBypass Disabled, which i've heard can cause instability when OCing RAM, is there anything else im missing here?

Is the DDR BH5? Some of that Buffalo stuff early on was BH5 (or maybe I'm thinking Twinmos?). In my experiences with Twinmos and Mushkin BH5 on nf2 boards, cas 3 was always a no-go no matter what speed.

are you sure its not the CPU failing? what multiplier are you using at 240? also, did you give the NB more voltage? do you have the stock cooler on the NB? i had to replace mind because it got too hot at 250FSB with the extra voltage. it caused all kinds of fruity problems with the onboard NIC card and other stuff.

OK, i have the Defgault Cooler on the NB, but with a Fan.

The RAM is NOT BH-5 unfortunatley, it is Micron.

The CPU was at like a muilti of 7 or 7.5, well within exceptable Range (its an XP2500m)

Givin the NB 1.9, which is max, it never gets that hot really.

So, i will try the OC w/ CAS2.5 and get back to yas.
