Mine just came.

Ewiz doesnt exactly do the best job of protective packing

Board comes with an already made F6 RAID floppy - nice touch DFI.

I'm in no hurry either - waiting for Intel price cuts and new chips in a couple of weeks - and the IFX 14 thermalright. I am also anxious to try the frozencpu copper thermal paste, vs the MX-1 paste at newegg
But I do have 2 working DS3's stiing on my desk here, E6300 - E6400 - heh

Lol! I just logged into Newegg and "add to cart" was available, after spending 2 minutes looking over another mobo, I clicked back and the "auto-notify" button was there instead!

Damn, I just wish there more reviews of this board (*hint* one from AT would be nice *hint*)

I was setting mine up today, but ran into a little speedbump (or two)
I am using the Enzotech HSF (comes with a fairly quiet delta fan that really pumps the air), and I do not like thier stamped steel backplate. It has 4 machined brass rods tha are riveted to the plate and stand straight up and are threaded on the end, they slide thru the 4 mobo holes. There is a sticky foam frame that goes around where the cpu is on the other side, but the base pads on the brass standoffs would seem to touch the mobo - which I cannot tolerate, becuase there are traces all around the mount holes. So, as i have access to a cnc machine shop, I am going to make my own plate out of black delrin.

I also have the SilenX and S-Flex fans to try.

Secondly, the NB HS is held on by two hooks on a common spring steel retainer that inserts under two clevices soldered to the mobo. I really dont like this setup (no mobo holes for NB), and the only way to put on my Jab Tech NB HSF is to glue it on with AS epoxy.- but it is heavy, and off set heavy at that. There is no way to tell if the stock NB HS is flat on chip. I wish they would start putting heatspreaders on NB's. But first reports say this mobo does run cooler than DS3.

Inintial user reviews are quite positive - with a few nagging bugs - like fast bootup setting doesnt work, opticals and RAID etc.

This board showing up at other places these days? Ewiz doesn't even list it anymore (same for Mwave and ZZF) and Newegg is out of stock.

Got my order in while it was in stock. Thank goodness for e-mail notifications sent to the cell phone! We'll see what this board can do with my Geil DDR800 and an E6420 with a Scythe Ninja next week when I have time to tweak around with it.

Figures, I ordered an MSI P6N Platinum this morning 'cause I never expected the Infinity to be in stock long enough for me to get my order in. Just I'll just deny the package and have the MSI sent back to the Egg for a refund.

So anyone with this board think it's worth it in terms of cost and time? I've luckily been to busy to buy a new mobo since returning my Asus P5NE SLI so I have some new options, but now I'm not sure what board I should get.
I've heard great things about this board in terms of overclocking, but I've also heard it's really unfriendly for a beginner. I'm especially worried about what I've heard about this board being incompatible with lots of RAM and PSUs.
I've got an Ultra X-finity 500 watt and some GEIL DDR2 1000.
Would anyone recommend this board to a beginner who wants to get the most out of his e6300?

I finally got some time to build my P965-S today. So far so good:

367 x 9 = 3303 MHz (Xeon 3060)
Ballistix PC8000 (2x1) = 1103 MHz (1066 strap)

The memory is running 5-5-5-15 @ 2.2v, entered manually in the bios, all other Genie settings were left in auto.

I am using the 424 RH1 beta bios and installed Vista with no problems from a Samsung SATA DVD burner using Raid 0.

Will be trying to figure out this damn bios but so far I am happy with it, and happy with Vista too
