DFI Infinity 975x/g Mobo?

What's up with the DFI Infinity 975x/g? Nobody really talks about it here. Is it a good board or junk? It seems that is is the ugly red headed step child of mobos? Am I missing something?
 
Anybody recommend some cheap (~$200 for 2GB) RAM for this board.. There are alot of people talking about how picky the board is, but no general guidelines for what to choose

This board is the best deal going for a 975X board, considering the price. It had problems oc'ing until the bios matured, now it will run with any 975 board available; for the E6600, E6700 cpus is an excellent choice if you don't want to spend a fortune.
