Sorry for the n00b questions but i thought the ram have to be placed in certain slots given in the manuals.
I put my dual channel 2 x 1GB sticks OCZ Plat. in the orange slots. Its it okay to put them in the 2 slots closest to the CPU or is it not recommended?

When Priming my computer freezes I think its the Ram, any other suggestions?

So far 2.64GHZ @ 1.45-1.48v

Thanks

If I read you question correctly I believe MSI motherboards are the only boards where you place the ram in the 1 and 2 slots instead of same colored slots to achieve dual channel.

Any you new system is going to be a lethal weapon dude.

Do you know if that applies to the DFi boards.

Also, can the FSB limit the OC.
If I use 300mhz and the FSB is 5x then it will be 1500mhz FSB right??
and limit is supposed to be 1000mhz I believe, should I use the 4x or 3x instead?

Thanks

300 x 5 = 1500 is the cpu speed.

you are thinking about the LDT X HTT value which is supposed to be less than 1000.

if you are using an HTT of 300, then you should lower your LDT to 3x.

as for the DFI board, you have to use the same colored slots to enable dual channel.

Thanks for the info.
I will stick with the orange slots.

i just read Zebo's OC guide. I think the problem is that I set FSb at 296 and I think the LDT defaults at 5x 🙁

Stupid me.

Will test again at lower FSB.

If im going to overclock using this board and I wanna set up a SATA raid 0 config do I have to use sata ports 3 and 4 or can i use the first two?
