DFI Crossfire demoed at Computex

Hey everyone,

I was surfing the net just now and saw this article about DFI's Crossfire motherboard on Rojakpot.com. The article says that the guys who designed Abit IC7 has come onboard with DFI and designed this board. Since I han't seen anything posted on the DFI Crossfire here heres a link to the article:

http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?location=3&var1=92&var2=0

Although I hadn't considered SLI since I retired my dual Pentium Pro 200/512 system that used a Quantum3D Obsidian X-24 pass-through card (and the fact that my Samsung 172X native/max resolution is 1,280x1,024) I'm starting to warm up to the Crossfire idea.

I like the way that Crossfire works, and the hint that the DFI Crossfire will also have a VDIMM of up to 3.2V (like the DFI NF4 boards). Maybe I can finally get my Mushkin PC3500 Level II DualPack up to where it should be running.

Also, there article says that a new revision of the DFI SLI board will feature three (32-bit) PCI slots as well a a SATA controller. Cool. I like to have an empty slot between my SCSI controller card and my Audigy2.

Enjoy the article...

EDIT: For some reason the link takes you to the Main page at Rojakpot.com. Just click on "Article Database" in the upper-left of the screen and you'll see the DFI Crossfire article. Sorry about that...

Nice score, but I still want to know what the power consumption of this setup is both full load and idle.
