How popular do you guys think this board is going to be? Would you be in the market for one? We vendors are scrambling to get some, and I'm placing an order with my DFI rep tonight. I'm just trying to get a feel for how many to order. So if you guys wouldn't mind helping me out and giving me an idea on interest, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I would buy a Crossfire board from DFI, of course. The only problem I have with Crossfire is that the mobos were originally supposed to be priced at $100 or so and now reports have them being released at $200. If that is the case I may wait until next summer to get a Crossfire setup for my current Asus EAX850XT PE.

Yes, that's pretty close to the price-point. I think we'll be selling them for $195-$200, depending on my quantity pricing. They are definitely expensive, no doubt.

I don't see that happening anytime soon :)

Out of curiosity, do you think the SLI-DR models are reasonably priced? I'm just curious, since this crossfire will essentially by the "ATI" based equivilent, and be newer, so does this justify the ~$20 premium over the SLI-DR?

Well you gotta love the DFI's :)

Come December, when we start looking our year end finances, we're going to be using a lot of our "Profits" to re-build machines for all of us (gotta show as little profit as possible for the tax man after all :) ) I still have to decide what boards to use, but they'll likely be DFI's of some incarnation.

I would definitely buy one if they were under $150 without hesitation, but I already paid over $150 for a SLi mobo several months ago for my nVidia card so I'm not willing to do it again when I can't afford the new video card for it for a couple months anyways. Just have to hope my MSi Neo4-F holds up under the new BIOS when I get my new RAM in, until I can afford a Crossfire board. I know I would rather have a DFI than a MSi after owning two current MSi boards...nothing but troubles with both.

Taking a guess here, but folks willing to pay big bucks for newest technology bought SLI setups months ago. And unless Crossfire soundly beats SLI, these folks won't be upgrading anytime soon. My $0.02.
