I have a DFI AK70 with a T-Bird 700 running in it. Or at least I am trying to run it that way. I am wondering if the montherboard is flakey. Her is what is happening:
I boot up and the floppy is not detected. It is a known good floppy and cable. It will boot to a hard rive.
If I try to go into the BIOS Setup, it locks. I have only been able to make it as far as loading fail-safe and saving once. Any other time it locks, keyboard quits reponding, etc. Sometimes it doesn't even get to the bios screen.
I was going to try to flash the bios, but without the floppy drive, that isn't working.
Any suggestions, ideas? If I need to get a new board, I want to do it quick. If it is fixable, I would like to do that.
