I am in the process of reinstalling XP w/sp2 on a system with a DFI 875B motherboard. I've downloaded the drivers from DFI's site (they have one .zip for Lan drivers which covers all OS) but XP does not recognize any of the .inf files as suitable for the board and when I run the setup it tells me that it is incompatible with the board. I figure no biggie as its an Intel® 82547EI Gigabit chip and figure I can just use the driver from Intel's site - no dice. I get the same error and am unable to install the driver.
Now, the ethernet port worked fine prior to the reinstall, I am just unable to recall how I managed to get it working before or what driver I installed for it. Anyone else using the same board that can point me in the direction of a driver?
