Getting some nice solid numbers from a lot of members. ReaganCRW continues to show his stuff, outputting a third of his prior total today! Nice! 🙂

Daily Production: A solid 4.6M showing for the day. That puts us in 12th, though only a meager 300K out of the top 10. Hopefully, the race will bring in some new blood and push us well over that.

White Elephant news:

We have a entrant! bfour wants a new 'pooter !

Seems I didn't explain the speed limit too well, so here goes:

You know how statsman puts out a stat every 6 hours.... well, you take any 4 stats in a row (they touch eachother 🙂 ) and look at them. If one of those stats (a dump usually) is too big.... it doesn't count towards your ATWE race total.

How big is too big? If a single 6 hour stat is bigger than the sum of the other three 6 hour stats making up a 24 hour period..... YOU GET A SPEEDING TICKET! your fine? the dump doesn't count.
Not to mention the public humiliation of being caught taking advantage of all us schmucks that have no machines to sneak folds from.

Every Story needs a moral:

This race is for EVERYONE! Steady, consistant folding is key. Besides, everyone who finishes the race has the same chance at winning a T-Bird!

Hah. I was just checking out the new stats page, and assuming my current production stays about the same and assuming there were no protein changes, I would catch TA Magicman on Aug. 15, 2005, if he didn't have any more output between then and now.😛

also, the project passed 5,000,000,000 structures for the current protien, HALF WAY DONE!!

the last protein change occured on October 16, so it took LESS than 30 days to complete half of the 10 billion structures for this protein
for anyone new to DF:
the actual protein change date is determined by Howard Feldman
but is normally on the tuesday following the completion of 10,000,000,000 structures. i project we will reach the 10 billion on Dec 7th which would make the changover date Dec 10. (or Dec 17th for sure, if the goal is reached too close to tuesday, howard might delay it)

Looks like I will have 2 dump one machine every six hours!

Seems like if your dumps are nearly equal size, you could dump two machines every 12 hours....

(tee hee) this is gonna take some 'double-naught' sneakin' 😀
