Welcome, DF'ers!

Spent some time doing a little bit of a flush on my brain before my exam today taking a look at the DF forums hosted on Free DC. Definitely some interesting threads up, take a look at the educational category to learn some interesting stuff (click from the beginning though instead of last 30 days which is their default).

Anywho, let's get to the milestone makers:

Kris has made 45M folds!

cbcrus has made 15M folds!

Congrats to Kris and cbcrus!

I promised to have a DF Queue program out sometime around in January in another thread. Hold me to that promise, folks. Don't have much time now (finishing off other projects), but make sure to remind me in mid-November and the beginning of December. Just out of interest, what features are needed (OS, configurability, etc)?

Top Folder: TA TheMagicman with 74M folds! Tootin' along nicely! :D
Best RMS: cbcrus maintains his lead with the 8.88, good for about 34th overall!
Best Production: TA TheMagicman retakes his lead from Kris (perhaps due to the weekend), with an impressive 2.5M for the day (good for about 18th overall)! ;)

TeAm Stuff:

Well, the never-ending ascent continues (well, one day it will. When we hit number one!). 60M more to go to 18th. They're pretty much sitting ducks (they produce about 60K/day). At current production (highly dependant on TheMagicman) that's 10 days away!

Daily Production: Thanks to the boost from TheMagicman we are now in 19th for daily production. At least that means we aren't sliding back, but it aint a pretty sight either. Only 200K away from 18th, and 300K away from 17th. Our output stands right now at 6.6M/day.

Currently over HALF of our members are inactive! Yikes!

hmm. Well, I'll be setting my computer up again tomorrow (just got me a small installation now. Gotta re-install for SSE since I've got an XP), and add on the AS III as well, so that I can take it up another few MHz, and another few folds a day.

Alright, then. See everyone tomorrow!

Thanks m0ti!

To everyone who has been offering me help to get my DF running right, here is the latest:

I set up the service to restart on failure and that worked well. (DF did re-start and that was good... except it left that annoying little window up on the desktop until I clicked OK)

Then I reduced all RAM timings to normal and set CPU/FSB back to stock speeds and volts..... I haven't seen any DF failures since. (But it's only been a few hours) I'm assuming that I have some hardware headding south (probably RAM) since the tweaks had been in place for about a year without any problems.

I can do some hardware swapping when I get a chance to find out what gives............. So, I guess this is a happy ending

Contrats to the mms for today and the obligatory Boo-Hiss to the Goose egg Gang (j/k)
