Hi there, Everyone!

Protein change over is tomorrow. I'll let bob970, aka TallBill know tomorrow, so that he can update his mirror of the client.

Congrats to the milestone makers! :):D

FoBoT: Stepping it up just a tad relative to yesterday... 10.9M folds and 4th overall! Looks like you're gonna finish in 3rd overall for best RMS on this protein. Nicely toasted! (don't know why, but that phrase was oddly popular back in high school :))

non-FoBoT:
Top Folder: ATWE Robor with 196.5M folds and 60th overall! :D
Best RMS: ATWE Terrahawk looks to end the protein in 7th overall!
Best Production: ATWE Robor's delayed weekend production seems to have kicked in... 5.8M folds and 10th overall! Nice stuff! ;)

Great to see two TeAm-mates in the top 10 both for production and RMS!

Producers Of the Day

FoBoT 10.9M :p
ATWE Robor 5.8M :p
ATWE Terrahawk 4.4M :p
ATWE bfour 2.1M :p
ATWE LastKnight 1.8M :p
ATWE Insidious 1.8M :p
TA Rescue Team 1.7M :p
ATWE ReaganCRW 1.4M :p
ATWE cbcrus 1.2M :p

Congrats to the POD's! :p:p:p

TeAm Stuff

Very strong production today across the board. Great stuff, team!

Daily Production: A formidable 39.5M folds for the day, and 3rd overall. FreeDC beat us out by 1.3M folds. Still, on the week we were just able to take 2nd (2M lead on FreeDC).

Great stuff, everyone! Let's keep the good production flowing into the next protein!

I put a few more PC's on this weekend. I'm curious to see what a few more Ghz will do to my stats. :)

I don't know if I'll stick to this production, but I'll give it a go for now.

Looks like a nice day all around. I added a few clients over the weekend so hopefully my production will stay above the 4M per day level. Hmmm... Looking at the stats I should pass the 200M milestone today. :)

Congrats to the MM'ers & POD's and thanks m0ti & Sid!

A belated Happy Birthday to ya Sid! :D

- We will be switching proteins at about 3PM EST today. The new algorithm that we have been developing is now being 'alpha tested' and will be released for beta testers to thoroughly test within the next few weeks. If interested in being a beta tester, please keep an eye on the Discussion Forum.

new protein

96 AA

no idea on speed, yet

*edit*
quick ten minute bench shows a slower protein here folks
the first one is last protein
the second is the new protein, both short (~10 min) benchs, YMMV :)

How did you get the new client on?

if you use an ftp client and attach directly via ftp to their download site, you can pull a copy fairly early in the update cycle

but then you have to do a few tricks (like copy your handle.txt to the "new" client and disconnect ) to get it to run, but it won't upload, so you have to run it offline and store up the structures until the site is back up

Thanks FoBoT!

I thought I had missed the boat somehow

(wierd that a protien that much smaller would run slower?)

i don't understand the science stuff, but the speed varies and it isn't always proportional to the AA number

i forget why, some smart science guy will have to answer that (you could search the DF forum, it probably is there somewhere, or just make a new thread asking)
