... That link will not work for me dude. Unlike a very small % of users that post on this forum I do not pay. ( other reasons besides cost ) I on the other hand belong to a very larg % of users that can not access that link, and can't read or learn of what you dudes are speaking of! So if someone kindly would at least pm me with whatever this news or story is all about? Thanks ...

copy the link - paste it in address bar change subscribers to forums..not hard

I found this tip in some other message that I don't know where's at (kudos to whoever wrote it): To get subscriber links to automatically redirect to nonsubscriber links, add the following line to the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" file [no extension for the hosts] (assuming winxp/2k):
216.151.100.125 subscriber.anandtech.com

using a subscriber address will now go to the nonsubscriber server. It works well for me.

But yes, all subcriber links can be changed to nonsubscriber links by changing the subscriber in the URL to forums.
