I haven't watched all the episodes yet but yeah, it's a great show.

It took me a while to get over Dexter being the "gay dude in Six Feet Under" but yeah...damn good show!

12. The season finale is this sunday and it looks to be very good. Dexter has really surprised me. At first I thought it was going to suck but it pulled me in and now I watch every week.

I was wondering about that, since after ep11 it seems the series is coming to conclusion. Will there be a second season, or is this going to be it? I'm not familiar with how showtime runs their shows.

the whole flashbacks to when he was a kid was the really twisted parts.

Yeah, at first I thought it was just the kid who was twisted but now it looks like his old man may have got him going.

Um, no.

Dexter was seriously screwed up as a child. His adoptive father (a cop who picked 3 year old Dexter up at the crime scene in which his mother was brutally murdered) saw that he was a sociopathic killer and knew he couldn't change that... so instead, the father taught the boy to only kill people who deserved to die. He also taught him how to hide his true self so others wouldn't recognize he was a sociopath.
