Personally I found the second season bad. I must have fast forwarded through half of every episode. WAH WAH WAH I'm not watching this for the drama.

1st season: good.
2nd season: meh.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but there's no central Dexter thread, and I just finished Season 2.

**Obviously, SPOILERS below**



Season 1 was way better. I hate how I couldn't stand Doakes for so long, but when I finally feel like he's worth caring about that bitch Lila (the show could've done without her altogether) blows him up.

I feel the show is weaker now. Dexter without Harry's code to lean on is a weak and irresolute character and I feel he's less likable than he once was. It might be weird, but I feel this show could've easily "dragged on" a lot longer than it has, I'd rather revel a bit in the plot progression. It feels like the show is on fast forward and I don't have time to really enjoy it all.

I always thought Daokes was great and the back and forth with him and Dexter kept the show going.
