Dexter (Final) Season 8

Not sure of what to think with what they did to Deb. She was good the 7th season, but since her "internal battles" are going on she's definitely gotten boy crazy again....I hated that about her.

I agree - that was interesting.

Unfortunately the show has been really disappointing the last couple of years - hopefully it can finish strong. Overall I think the Lithgow season was the only one that really approached the level of the strongest serialized dramas, like Breaking Bad or Mad Men, but I do enjoy the show in general.

Amen 100%. Lithgow was hands down the best villain of that series. Best season by far.

I think it's good that it's ending because it would be a bit of a stretch to make more seasons, also the situation is too volatile to just introduce another villain-friend.
I agree that the part with lithgow was the best one. The other villain-companions were sometimes a bit meh.

This season is awful so far, though I have only seen the first episode. Neither dexter nor debra are made any sense. It never made sense for debra to shoot leguerta in the first place, and her subsequent behavior even less so.

There is no way she could be the killer. She looks way to old and frail to be carrying the dead bodies to the sites the killer leaves them on. She would have to carry these dead men for long distances. Also the guy they show hanging at the cabin is huge. No way she could pick that guy up hang him on a hook. The only way for her to be the mastermind is if she has been using all her "psycopathic" patients to do her dirty work. And after the she tells Dexter that the brain segment was left at her door why the hell don't they install a hidden security camera? They would have caught the guy on camera when he left the second segment.
