I wonder cause whenever i shut down i get the program is not responding end now screen... When i hit end now it screws XP up i can't shut down or restart without hittin' the switch... It does it about every 9 out of 10 times.. Anyone else experienced this problem and if so there a fix for it.... Its really starting to piss me off here lately as it does it almost all of the time.

It's the driver file for SB Live! cards. Did you upgrade or do a fresh install? I suggest you reformat + do a clean install of Windows XP and use the Live drivers that are in XP and don't install the drivers from the CD! Those drivers in Win XP work well, and EAX and all is working too. The only problem is that you will lose 4 speaker output. Don't worry, Creative will be releasing new drivers for XP within a few days so you will get all your features back really soon :).

Thanks for this thread guys... I am about to under go a massive change myself... I am going to be putting WIN Xp Pro onto a new hard drive I am going to puchase and I was wondering about the driver for my soundcard (Live Platinum) I know I can get drivers for all my other hardware, but as per usual Creative have been slow off the mark in getting there drivers out for XP. I hope live ware 4.0 or what ever they are going to call it is alot better than 3.0 that has been around for the past 12 months+ now.
This forum is the great.
