Republicans live in a constant state of disgust and reflect that state to the world by making people around them sick to their stomachs. You never want to tell a pig it's filthy. It hurts its feelings. A pig's delight is in being a pig. With people-pigs the piggishness is just part of self identity.

A pig always thinks in terms of what it has that somebody or something might take away, because a pig is a pig because of inner poverty which manifests as gluttony, but a true conservative will abhor straws because they are an environmental impurity. If Democrats proposed turning churches into garbage dumps for old straws they would go to war against the existence of every last straw on Earth.

Hosmer Mountain Beverages. It is drinkable when ice cold but the warmer it gets the shittier it tastes. Doesn't matter which flavor either. When warm the stuff will make me wretch. I swear they use water straight from a sewage treatment plant, before it is processed.

I've never had Hosmer anywhere else so it is possible that the restaurant just uses shitty water for their soda fountain. Maybe it isn't the Hosmer syrup itself that is bad for all I know.

In all seriousness though, if this is not targeting fast food restaurants as well then it's a seriously flawed law

Jail was not part of the bill. Your shit media sources told you it was part of the bill and you believed it.

Fast food stores are exempt because their drinks are designed to be consumed in a car with a lid and a straw. Sit down restaurants do not need straws. Hopefully we address fast food places and all plastic consumption in meaningful ways as we progress, but as usual, we have to fight conservative misinformation every step of the way. Thanks for doing your part.

you forgot to debunk me on the biggest offenders like Cstores and fast food. was that a lie too?

Inside fast food & convenience stores, customers serve themselves to straws. It's a whole different situation with drive up service where people often eat in the car. Imagine feeding the kids in the car w/o lids & straws. I figure we'll see plastic straws disappear entirely as production & technology of paper straws improves.

That's because fast food exemption isn't the subject of this thread.

Maybe you can explain how not adding plastic into the environment is socialism? Nunes says dumb shit and all you guys can do is complain about AOC.

At least she hasn't engaged in corruption as head of a committee.

so in other words its just a empty law. isnt the point is to protect the environment? How is having exemptions of the biggest contributors to the straw Apocalypse helping the environment?

If making murder illegal doesn't stop all murders then I guess we should just allow murder.

It's just a start. The desired outcome is for retailers to switch to paper straws on their own in response to greater consumer awareness.

How is it "empty" if it removes at least one source of the plastic straws? More of the "it's not a 100% solution, so let's do nothing" nonsense. Baby steps are required because apparently there are a bunch of scared people still imagining it's the cold war era where anything "socialist" is bad, dragging out the whole process of progress.

Serious question, why do you even need a straw in restaurant? Some super fancy cocktail? I myself use only a hand full of it a year mostly drive thru on a long road trip, I do eat fast food I just drank it from the cup don't even need a lip. I also have mug with me most of the time.

but never mind the warped mind of a democrat who makes a law to throw people in jail for giving out a straw and exempt fast food where the vast majority of straws are passed out. and you say republicans are dumb as shit? HAHAHAHAH

Correct, as per the daily demonstrations on exactly that. I'd say your post does little change that as well, sadly. The truth hurts you. I'm ok with that.

What I'm not is a Democrat, but they aren't the ones who threw duty and rational thought to the winds for their orange child emperor/ Russian asset.

Funny how Il Douche wants to utilize eminent domain for his wall, the ultimate expropriation of private land for public benefit, while he and his lemmings froth at the mouths about socialism.

You know what, let's go with dumber than shit. You've convinced me.
