that's like saying "he's a great guy, he just likes to kill people every once in a while. It's not really his fault, he just acts without thinking sometimes"

DevilsAdvocate has a severe character flaw to screw people over like that, and there's no way to sugarcoat it.

Does that mean I wouldn't want him as my lawyer? Maybe not. Maybe it takes that kind of ruthlessness to win court cases.

Neither did I, I just found out tonight on Ventrilo when someone asked where he's been?

Then another AT'er (who shall remain nameless other than his Starbuck's nametag) informed us he's been perma banned.

I'd like to hear his side of the story to see if there were any extenuating circumstances.

He was going through a rough time outside of AT, but this incidents happend more then twice and over a long period of time. His previous heat allowed him to keep trading after the first few incidents. Then it was clear he just doesn't take it seriously. Compared to what he was going through, online hardware trading means just about nothing. Instead of taking himself away from it so he could get himself together, he just kept making bad FS/FT decisions.

I thought he was perma banned for stuff he said in an OT thread, can't remember what it was though. Seems like it's a good solution for the trading thing as well.

meh, am I willing to throw his entire character under the bus? No, but I wouldn't trade with him either. People make mistakes, and he is being punished for his.

Nothing.

Can the Mods post confirming if he was warned before being perma banned?

Selling is the main issue. Sure, every once in a while he may try to cross trade, but if he can't sell anymore, that will severely limit his ability to trade.

who cares what he buys, if he "forgets" to pay, it's on to the next trader

I believe they could disable PMs for his account if they wanted to. The problem is when you start dealing with accounts in degrees, things get messy.

did that guy get his 2 LCD's eventually? closure!! :(.

anyways, i never knew DA was a bad trader sheesh. He seemed like a coool guy, especially how helpful he was to AT members. he probably shouldn't have traded when he's busy.

Like I said earlier, I think he got sh1t-canned for something in ATOT first so warnings about trading would be irrelevant in that context.

You're wrong. But that's what you get for thinking. Don't try it again.

it's funny how people are STILL defending him.

hey, i traded with him once too. and yes, that trade went thru ok, but that does NOT prove that he didn't screw over these other people.

i think he earned a permabanned with his trading practices.
