Hey all,

Having WinXP Home problems. Yesterday when I went to play CS, the game wouldnt load and XP reset itself. Said that my GF4 4600 was acting up. I have had this happen to me in the past, and fixed it somehow (cant remember). I tried system restore on a few different dates, but cannot get the AGP to cooperate.

Have tried numerous programs/games, anything that requires 3D but all are rejected and XP reboots itself and generates a warning message about my video card. Everything else is working great, just no 3D anything 🙁

I am almost 100% certain this a driver issue and request that some kind soul give me the order in which the drivers are to be installed/re-installed, I really really hate the idea of a reformat.

MY SYSTEM:

XP2200+
1024MB PC2700
MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU
128MB Leadtek GF4 4600
Pioneer AO4 DVD-R/RW
16X Pioneer DVD Slot
120GB WD (Main)
160GB Maxtor (Storage)
17" Samsung SyncMaster 760V tft LCD
Logitech Z560

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone care to decrypt this for me 🙂

Relating to the vid drivers I presume

You seem to be on the right track.

Try installing the latest Drivers from Leadtek.
(were updated 8-9-2002)

Find them here:
Leadtek WinFAST A250 series

Make sure you remove the previous driver before installing the new one.
Set the display to STANDARD VGA mode.

LiLithTecH,

Tried that and its a no-go!

I am leaning that it may be something to do with the miniport or 4in1 drivers. (Which I've tried re-installing)

I remember having a heck of a time trying to get them right when I went to XP

Just cant figure this baby out again
