device conflicts

I have two Direct Memory Access Controller devices listed, one under ACPI and one under the root of Computer. The conflict icon is on the ACPI device. I have removed it but windows reinstalls it upon reboot. Can I remove BOTH, reboot, and will Windows reinstall only one correctly?? I also have the identical situation with two standard keyboard devices.

Nobody wants to reply. 🙁
I promise not to get pissed off, curse your name, and hold you responsible if you tell me, "yeah, it might work", and then it doesn't and it wont boot up at all.

Yes you can. I routinely see this when I change mobos. Remove BOTH of everything that you have doubles of that are yellow banged(shows conflict) and if prompted to reboot say "no" After you have removed both then go and reboot. THe system will reinstall one of the devices..
