I have been signed up there for 6 months and though I am not very active, it's coming up to summer, and I am going to be doing a lot more graphic design work in my free time.

Is it worth it to start a subscription?

I don't subscribe or submit art but I do hit it up occasionally for wallpaper. Lots of talented artists there.

Umm. Are you sure? They do have many talented graphic artists, and their works take way more than simple ps plug-ins. One can't be a Van Gogh even if given a same set of paints and canvas.

It's just ignorance. There are a lot of people there who use photoshop, but there are also many people who take pictures, paint real pictures, write poetry and prose, and much more.

I'm a Deviant (free) for gosh knows how long. Don't really put my stuff up there, though; it houses nothing but my old stuff before I really KNEW how to do graphic design (graphic art != graphic design, people should get that pounded in their head).

<gloat> Besides, I bet I got a lot more awards and pieces sold in exhibits than a few people on there anyway. =0)
