I just tried running the exact things I said in the topic but after a couple seconds or even a minute in the game it just quits on me. It quits at random times and I'm kind of stuck as what to do. The only thing I can think of is the 7041's simply are incompatible with Deus Ex. So is this it or does Deus Ex and 7041's work?

I am currently trying to figure out why Deus Ex wont run on my system as well. I also have a Radeon 64mb VIVO and I get kicked to the desktop whenever I try to start a new game or the training mission. I always get the error message that I have run out of virtual memory and I need to make more room on my HD(I have over 30gigs free). When I first bought Deus Ex-months ago-it worked fine for me. I have installed a few new hardware/software items since then(one being the Radeon)and, now, it doesnt work. This is very frustrating

Ok-I returned the Edge and bought a SBLive Platinum-and Deus Ex now plays fine, so that was my problem-that being said, I have a Radeon 64mb VIVO + the 7041 drivers and it plays fine-I do get a tad bit of flashing on refective floors, but I remember reading that changing a value in the advanced options of Deus Ex will fix that. There is a tweak guide for Radeons and Deus Ex at Rage3d.com, but mine runs fine and I didnt tweak anything. Deus Ex is a MAJOR system hog so it helps to have a powerful system

Yeah I agree about the system hog. If you check my system, the cpu is quite slow. I played it before with this same system but a voodoo banshee instead and it was actually ok running at 640x480 prob. I originally tried 1280x1024 on the Radeon because I played all the other games in that resolution but it ran like crap. 1024x768 runs ok...

I'm running the 7068 drivers which are the newest beta drivers. I just formatted so I don't have much on but I'll see if Deus Ex works tomorrow or Wednesday.

It's good to now it does work with 7041's though. Mine kept quitting though! Maybe I had something tweaked wrong..
