Deus Ex Movie **confirmed**

Looks like Deus Ex is going to be made into a movie by Columbia. Let's hope that it turns out better than the other crap that's been based on a game.

I agree. The story in Deus Ex would lend itself very well to a movie adaption. The problem with a lot of the "videogame" movies is that the games they are based off, while usually popular, have really crappy stories.

Another good one should be Max Payne. That game had a great story, and would be a great John Woo movie (the game almost played like a Woo movie anyway).

I think Max Payne would make a horrible movie. At least to me, anyways, the story seemed to be there only to further along the shooting. The writing was horrible, the dream sequences sucked, and all the paranormal crap that the mob practiced just made me shake my head. Without bullet time, that game would have been average at best, but Deus Ex, while it had a good combat system, was helped tremendously by the story.

I think I heard that they were writing a script for Max Payne, and once it was done they would decide if a movie should be made out of it.

I respect your opinion, so I won't debate you on Max Payne's story. But you have to admit, making a Woo movie (which as I said, the game more or less was) would be kinda cool.

I have that game, but I suck so I never finished. I can only play games like halo-multiplayer and super smash brothers because they are the only ones I don't suck at.
