It's a referral credit. Pretty cool deal. If you spend $5 you can refer people for a $5 credit when they spend $5. They also get $5.

I'm hoping they add BF3 so I can use my store credit lol.

This code also works for the Augmented Edition and drops it down to 40 bucks 🙂 and apparently you get a free copy of the original Deus Ex GOTY Edition for free on top of it... If only I wasn't so set on getting it for the 360.

The key might be out a couple days late since they are in the UK and it has a 3 day later release date. It's worth it to save $11.

If it's a steam activated key (which it looked like it was?) then steam would control by region when the game unlocks, so it would be lame of them to restrict giving out the keys to everyone until UK release date.
