Detriot Lions have some scarey WR's

spanky

Lifer
charles rogers (if he can stay healthy). roy williams. now mike williams. kevin jones ain't bad either. time to jump on the lions bandwagon 😛

Their pick just doesn't make sense, they had much bigger holes to fill.

CBS Sportline puts it best:

What in the heck is this team doing? Unless this team has a deal worked out for Williams with another team, why would they draft him? This is a luxury. Not a need. They have Charles Rogers. They have Roy Williams. Both were high first-round picks. And although there is some injury concerns with those two, no team can afford three high first-round picks at one position. This is a terrible move, no matter what kind of player Williams can be.

Grade: D

I'd have thought they would have went with Derick Johnson before another WR.

Maybe they're expecting Rogers to get hurt again, who knows. If he does get hurt again, it might be time to think about trading him.

this was definitely the most retarded pick of the draft. i don't know why they want 3 top recievers on their team. especially with that bum joey harrington

maybe they've got a trade lined up in the next few weeks for one of the receivers. I know the Niners could sure use some help at WR (and everywhere else) 🙂

The lions don't have that bad of a D they just are prone to injuries, I think they can pick up a couple quality guys in later rounds they will be fine... no thier offence if joey comes around (or Garcia still has some gas in him) thier offence is going to be scary good. and if they can't get thier defence to average I think they could win the division and have an outside chance at maybe making it past the first round of the playoffs for once (or hell I'll even go for making the playoffs)

Detroit has a good coach and great wide receivers... now they're QB. Can be good sometimes, but makes critical mistakes. I still see them making the playoffs next season.
