<< Are there any new driver options in the control panel tab (such as anisotropic filtering for Direct3D or forced trilinear filtering)?
>>

There is nView and it has numerous new options for Nvdia's TwinView, but besides that no new driver options that I see.
About time nVidia starts looking after their TwinView implementation, it's started to fall disturbingly far behind ATi and Matrox in that respect.

These drivers are no good for me.

PNY Verto GF3 Ti200

3DMark2K1
23.11: 6849
27.10: 6754

plus the first time I ran 3DMark2K1 it completely locked up win2K when doing the Vertex Shader test.... but it worked after the reboot... odd.

Well I tried them and it's back to the 2312s for me.

Unreal, Quake3 and Serious Sam were slower plus the drivers had an annoying tendency to reset my custom gamma levels everytime I changed a resolution in a game. Also I saw no evidence of better image quality in either Direct3D or OpenGL.

Finally, there were no real new control panel changes other than the nView thing which really doesn't interest me the least.

I gained across the board with the 27.10's in my Ti500 albiet the gains were small, the infinite loop problem is gone also!🙂 I've had them running for nearly 12 hours without a single problem..........I'll keep them!😉

Nope, over at the VIA arena forums, some are still getting the famous Nvidia loop error,so mixed feedback,I`ll wait for official drivers since I don`t really need to try them.

<< yeah that link was tight...getting speeds around 80kb/s >>

hehe d/led at school at 310KB/sec !!!! what kind of connection you got!!!! my school has a t1 but what u got cuz that was damn fast!! most main sites arent even that fast

Amuse me, please. What exactly IS the Inifinite Loop Problem? Every once in a while, I get a lockup in UT...but that doesn't sound like a loop-thing.

<< Dont mean to sound like a moron , but you peeps who use 3dmark 2k1 seem to forget that there's a rate of error of a couple of percent each time you run the bench. The chances are that you'll possibly get a = or higher result on the next few runs. Think ill stick to the approved 23.12. >>

FWIW, in my experience 3DM2k1 has a margin of error of about 0.5-2% between runs, increasing slightly as your overall score increases.
Personally I don't give a damn how 3DM rates my system though as I don't consider it at all representative of real world gaming performance.
Hell, I actually prefer 3DM2000 over 2001, though even it isnt that great.

It's an error often encountered when running an Nvidia based graphics card under Windows 2000/WindowsXP. It's seen especially often with VIA or ALi based chipsets, though it is seen to a lesser degree with SiS/Intel chipsets.
It basically causes your system to halt for about 3-5 seconds after which time you will get a BSOD error, stating that the nv4_disp driver has gone into an infinite loop and stopped responding.

To scared to try, just fixed that error with the newest 4 and 1's and the 21.83's ! I'm very disappointed in Nvida lately they seem to be pushing out thier drivers to fast and not putting enough effort into them !
