Detonator refresh-rate fix hosed now? wtf?

Trying to force 85Hz at 10x7 gives me an error citing c:\winnt\system32\desk.cpl. The "fix" I found for it doing a search involves deleting a registry key which only removes the GeForce tab under the Advanced Settings. Anyone care to enlighten me as to what's breaking, and how to fix it? Never thought I'd see the day when Det gave me more trouble than Cats. Bah!

I use NVRefreshTool 2.1a for refresh fix with Nvidia drivers,as to your other problem well nothing like using Driver Cleaner 2 to remove all old traces of old drivers ,so remove drivers then run DC2 in safe mode,instructions in readme file,then reinstall with latest drivers.

Well, this behavior kicks in even after a clean re-install, both with XP and tookay. I did try a variety of clean-ups tools as well, to no avail. Didn't have the problem before the 45.23s, and I see now it also affects the 45.33s. nVIDIA is pissing me off...they won't let anyone work on their drivers, seem not to care too much about image quality, and now break a popular function in their own driver releases.

Whatever, I just hate having to rely on a 3rd party app for something the driver should take care of. RivaTuner it is I guess.
