Ok...so directx totally waxed my system. With my Creative A2, directx 8.0a coupled with the NVIDIA ref. drivers...every revison locked my machine up. No matter what I played, Black and White, TFC, everything locked up. Now that directx 8.0a is gone and in the "sh*t bin" everything works great. But with so many revisions to the detonator drivers, which version offers the best performance and stability? I would love to download all revisions and test them myself, but with a two year old, and one more on the way, coupled with a very "I want to cuddle" wife, my time is VERY limited. And to be frank, when I do get time to play, I hate wasting it trying to get the damn machine working optiomal. In case it helps, my specs are below....
