Detonator drivers and 3DNow versus MMX

Hi,

I've running a 1.4 GHz Athlon in a Chaintech 7CKJD board with a Creative Labs GeForce 2 card under WinMe.

Looking in the Nvidia properties window of Display Properties it lists my system processor as a "AMD Athlon with MMX".

Sisoft Sandra tells me that this system has 3DNow! technology.

Reading the recent Detonator 4 review on Anandtech there is a screenshot of the Nvidia properties window listing the system as "AMD Athlon with 3DNow!".

I've tried both drivers 12.41 and now 14.40.

Should the drivers be identifying the processor as a "AMD Athlon with 3DNow!".

AMD Athlon CPUs have both MMX and 3DNow! incorporated into them.
so technicaly they both are correct.

Don't worry about it, your processor supports and will utilize both MMX and 3DNow! extentions.
