Why 4 consecutive beta releases with no new WHQL rated drivers? Hell, our OS (Windows) is beta enough for me most of the time. :D

They're all beta's cause Nvidias reachin to high and can't get it right the first time, at least not with my setup. I try every beta and end up going back to the 30.82's cause of some major flaw in the beta.

there's a new tab called performance settings that include some new options besides AA and AF...you can set performance to balanced, aggressive, or application...i wonder if it actually does anything...im too lazy to run 3dmark three times ;)

40.72 to 41.03?

That's not much, but they did go right from 30.xx to 40.xx. Pretty big jump there.

Are these new ones buggy like the rest of the 40's? I tried the 40.72 on a GF4 and GF2 under WinXP. I really didn't notice any change with the GF4 card; with the GF2, the system would lock at a blank screen after showing the WindowsXP logo. I'm using the 30.82's; they work good enough for now.:)

i don' t think any of these new drivers will benefit GF2's and below...and i think it is getting to the point where maybe not even GF3s are being helped

From my experiance, anything above 30.xx does as much harm as good for my Visiontek GF4 4400ti.

Same with me. The 30.82 drivers are working very well for me, I have what I'd call perfect stability (for a PC) and damn good performance. The newest WHQL drivers will have very big shoes to fill when they are finally released.

I agree, the 30.82 drivers are still the best on image quality and stability, after trying the 40.xx drivers for a few weeks I ended up going back to the good old 30.82 drivers.

I am still running the 29.42 Under 2kPro. Any real reason for me to switch to 30.82 ? I'm a MSI ti4400.
