I was bored so I gathered together some DX8 benches and compared these drivers.
System Specs: AthlonXP 150fsb, 1575Mhz. GF4Ti4200 64MB@275/550. WinXpPro w/SP1. Rest of specs you can check below.

UnrealTournament2003 build927:
+dm-antalus 1600x1200
30.82: 65.23
40.41: 66.39

3DMark2001 build330:
+Nature 1600x1200
30.82: 21.2
40.41: 30.5

Chameleon Mark 1600x1200:
+Glass
30.82: 39.7
40.41: 40.2
+Real
30.82: 53.9
40.41: 54.5
+Shiny
30.82: 39.6
40.41: 40.1

CodeCreatures:
+1024x768 (fps) / (polys/sec)
30.82: 22.7 / 8.2
40.41: 16.3 / 7.3
+1280x1024
30.82: 16.3 / 6.3
40.41: 14.4 / 7.2
+1600x1200
30.82: 9.3 / 5.0
40.41: 9.6 / 5.6

Note1: Those are the correct numbers for CodeCreatures. I ran it with each driver twice and got ~ the same numbers each time.

Note2: Does anyone know how to run the benchmarks for other maps in UT2k3? The benchmark command for dm-antalus is "START /w ut2.exe dm-antalus?game=engine.gameinfo exec=benchexec.txt -benchmark -nosound -1600x1200". When I have tried exchanging the name of other maps for dm-antalus (i.e. DM-Asbestos), the program enters benchmark mode for the new map but does not do a fly-through. Any thoughts?

Note3: Can the AquaMark Benchmark be run from the Aquanox demo or is the full version of the game needed?

Nice work. Thanks for the numbers. :)
I don't think it's worth it to use the 40's - too many problems, namely, Rivatuner doesn't work with the 40's yet. Plus people are saying that the gamma is set too low - in OpenGL I think it is. 30.82's are working just fine for me.

Refresh Force works great. It's a "run once program" like RivaTuner plus it's vendor independent so it works regardless of driver version and regardless of video card type.

Yes.

Stick with the 30.82's until Nvidia releases a new set that fixes the current 40.xx bugs. Besides the only improvement you'll see is in your 3dmark scores. You want those extra features that you see with 40.xx drivers, go get riva tuner.
