I recently built a new system and have an Asus V7100 Geforce2 MX. I tried uninstalling the asus drivers and installing the Det.3 ones, but, when I reboot it hangs just before entering windows. I even did a clean windows install using the Det drivers but the same thing happened.(I thought it was a conflict with the old Asus drivers but I guess not)

I am running an ASUS CUV4X Motherboard w/Celery 700 @787MHZ, 128mb pc133 Micron Ram, Maxtor U-ATA66 7200 rpm 20 GB HD, a soundblaster awe64gold (ISA) and a Realtek 10/100 Ethernet card. Anybody know what my problem might be? I used the drivers on a friends TNT2 M64 and they were fine. Thanks.

Make sure the old Asus drivers are completely gone, btw which drivers are you using I use the 6.31 Det3 drivers, anyway go into BIOS disable all video shadowing,& disable fastwrites, next you do have the Via 4 in 1 drivers installed first,if so try downloading the latest driver for your monitor then try reinstalling the Det3 drivers.

Last thing it`s best to install drivers at default CPU clock speed ,you can always go back to overclocking later once you know they are working fine.

Thanks Mem,

I got the 6.47 version Drivers to work. Now I can't play Diablo 2 though. It uses the wrong reolution and I can't find anything to change it. Any ideas whats going on? UT and SOF work perfectly and 3dmark 2000 successfully did 10 runs through the bench mark @ 215 Core and 190 Mem.

Thx.

P.S. I have the Via 4in1 installed and have gotten rid of the Asus drivers completely. I'm also using DX8.
