It's listed in the driver file.

do these drivers still improe performance of the geforce2 cards? i am always up for a good driver update but does anyone know if these are better than the 12.60 (that's what i'm using) for a geforce2 ultra?

Did anyone get a performance boost from updating to 14.20?

I updated from 12.60 to 12.90 but did not get any performance gains while a lot of people have... :(

Using 3dmark2001

12.90 = 5697
14.20 = 5335

It looks like ill be reverting back to 12.90

NE1 who bases driver performance on a meaningless benchmark like 3DMark needs to go back to Win95 ;)

Being that one of the main benchmarks people use as a reference...it seemed appropriate to use ...plus I'm seeing lower performance in all other benchmakrs/appz and so on...Why don?t you enlighten me and tell me what benchmark you would like to see used?

You didn't say all appz, you just stated 3DMark. Too many people rely on solely 3DMark like it is the Buddha of benchmarks. There's a reason why Anand never uses it.

Ya I agree ..but most ppl want to see 3dmarks scores :\ that's the main reason I used that benchmark.

Understandable. Something like Quake 3 would probably be a more consistent performance indicator. I'm just saying that using soley 3DMark as a testimate of driver performance really doesn't give us the whole picture.

1420 has an AGP control option now and knows if you are using sidebanding and fastwrites which I'm not. Any reason to use them? BTW I got a lower 3DMark score bt who cares.

I noticed the AGP panel option as well, that's kinda a smooth tweak. Unfortunately, for some odd reason, when using FSB frequencies above 140 my motherboard reverts the AGP from 4x to 2x... :(

NFS4,

Q3 isnt very sensitive to driver changes. It differs be less than a fps between drivers. 3dmark is much more sensitive. I dont know where you get 3dmark being a useless synthetic bench as its the same as any game out, you just cant play it.

IMO 3dmark just looks good. It is good to figure out performance problems for getting around a certain average score but when your changing drivers, up or down 300 points doesnt mean anything. I have ran 3dmark many times one time after another and the scores are different every time. Not huge differences but still not enough for that program to be a good bench for this kind of thing. Q3 has to be the best that I know of.

My 3dmarks rose about 50 points from 12.40 to 14.20.

3000-3050 on a GF2 default clock 1050mhz Tbird.

Edit: Spelling.

I don't do benchmarks, but these drivers are HELLA more stable than the 12.41s and the 12.90s I've used over the past month (only own my GF2 card that long). Win2K + TwinView has been up and running nearly 90 minutes. This has to be a record by 60 minutes or more.

SCHWEET!

haven't got any 3dmark scores but i suddenly started getting very odd internet explorer crashes with the 14.20 drivers. i have never had these crashes until i installed that driver. I went back to 12.41 and no more crashes.
