I have an Asus 3800U AGP, TnT2 Ultra, And its been in 3 different systems but always the same problem.

I can only use Det drivers 6.50, I know that this version seems to always get the lowest marks in all the test Ive see on the various websites.
But they work the best for me as I get the highest benchmarks in all the test with them, All other versions I lose half my selection of resolutions and most games wont recognize any video settings up to versions 21.xx but the low framerates/benchmarks still remain.
Also since DX8 There is alot more conflicks with higher versions of the drivers.

What is the real differences/support changes in the higher revisions from 6.50.

Im using 98SE
Its been used on a Intel,AliV and Via KT133a chipsets.

I know its only TnT2 and I was about to upgrade to a Gforce2 when I got the Athlon TB1.4, But When I saw the benchmarks showing comparible or better then a few of my friends noname brand Gforce 2MX's Ill hold on to this for a bit longer.

6xx = optimised performance for GF based chipsets.
7xx = unofficial DirectX 8.0 support.
1xxx = support GF3 based boards, official DirectX 8.0 support.
2xxx = large speed gains for GF3 based chipsets and added DirectX 8.1 and OpenGL 1.3 support.
27xx = GF4 support and nView, more DirectX 8.1 features.

Your TNT2 is far too old to show any benefit with drivers later than the 6xxs and I doubt that nVidia bothered to test the card too much with the newer drivers.
