I need some help tracking down the origination of an IP address of someone using a yahoo mail account.

I have the IP that person used to login to Yahoo, but I'm not sure how to find out which ISP they were using so I can identify the person for a lawsuit.

Can anyone forward me to a site that would list which IPs belong to which ISPs?

Thanks,
Ron

I think most ISP's assign addresses dynamically so even if you know the ISP finding out who the address represented at that time may be more of a problem. Internic maintains a NameServe registry that may be helpfull to you at this location.

Good luck
