bah, Toyota is so bland and boring, go with the TL.

we also have connections with the Toyota dealership and they give us cars for employee price

Then see if they own the Lexus dealership and get an ES330.

Don't become a lemming.

TL > ES

Agreed...but if pricing can benefit with the ES.....

TL all the way. Assuming you get top of the line Highlander Limited (you're spoiled and rich right?), you'll be paying about the same as a TL, but the TL has much more to offer for same the price, and it looks a hell of a lot better.

Safer? 😕

Less capable handling, heavier vehicle, increased stopping distance.

Another one suckered in by the automotive marketing blitz.

More likely to flip over and crush everyone inside. . .

My GFs parents are buying her a new car, and she gets to choose between a 2004 3.2 TL and a Highlander. I think shes spoiled but thats besides the point. She has agreed to let the AT poll decide what new car she will get. (Personally I think it should be a TL). She wont be hauling anything around so she doesnt need an SUV for any reason.

He's got it all wrong. My parents are not letting me choose...I wanted a Highlander because it was safer.

I meant if I get into an accident.

Drive so you don't get yourself into an accident 😉

You can't go wrong with either one...

But who cross shops two vehicles so vastly different?

he just wants me to buy the TL so he can use it...

buy the TL but dont let him use it. if he has a problem with that... break up with him.

😀
