So yeah, we stopped messing around, took the hi speed to that badboy, hi speed > *. too bad it started drizzling when i took those pix, oh well I need to wash it again tomorrow anyway. If you're curious as to the products we used, in this order...

Car is in near perfect shape (paint wise), only the deeper scratches remain, no machine/towel/swirl marks anywhere.
