So this is probably most pointedly a topic for Aigo. I am looking to do something with the two Ikea coolers I picked up (minimal assembly required), the two in the header. I have used them both and have actually been pleased with both, there's just one snag. I really really like my Antec Solo, and neither cooler fits right in the Solo. I have a Coolermaster Wavemaster that I could chop up (or sell if anyone wants it), but I don't like the look of that case as much. So, what do we do when we can't get things just right? We tinker!
I'm thinking of doing a mod on either the ALC or the Corsair. I understand that it'll probably be more trouble than it's worth, and for the sale of both of these I could probably put together a decent loop, but for my first try at water cooling I thought I might try and fiddle with these.
So what I'm looking for is some details and advice. Which radiator is best? Which pump is best? Which one has been modified best? What are the internals for these bad boys (copper, aluminum, pluridium)? What size barbs do they use? I've looked on-line and find incomplete details that don't make me confident. Figured this forum would be the best source for details. Thanks in advance!
